Travel Vaccinations

Please contact the practice for advice on vaccination requirements as soon as possible after arranging your trip. You may require more than one dose of vaccine and the protective effect of most vaccines takes 10 days to develop. Yellow Fever vaccination certificates only become valid 10 days following vaccination.

Standard travel vaccinations are provided on the NHS for patients registered with the Alma Partnership. However, a fee will be charged for other vaccines (e.g. Yellow Fever, Rabies, Hepatitis B). Patients from other surgeries will be charged for all vaccines.

Prescriptions for anti-malarial medications are issued on a private basis as these are not covered by the NHS.
