Welcome to the Alma Medical Centre
The doctors and staff at the Alma Partnership surgery in Bournemouth are proud to offer the highest standard of patient-centred healthcare. We run many clinics for the management of chronic diseases such as asthma and diabetes and offer a wide variety of other medical services including antenatal and postnatal care, minor surgery and childhood vaccinations.

Our reception desk allows wheelchair-using patients to communicate directly with reception staff and our large car park area has disabled parking spaces and easy flat access into the building. There are also disabled toilet facilities.
All patients are allocated a named GP who is responsible for their overall care. Should you wish to to know who your named GP is, please ask the receptionist. If you have a preference for a particular GP we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request.

EXCITING THINGS ARE HAPPENING AT THE ALMA PARTNERSHIP
A new telephone system is being installed on 18th May 2018 at The Alma Partnership. We can finally say goodbye to the old system which has served its purpose over the past 20 years but has gradually been failing! We have been listening to our patients a new appointment system and walk in system will be introduced middle of of June with some new Clinical Team Members, who we are happy to welcome in to the Alma Family. Unfortunately some of our current Clinical Team have decided to move on to pastures new, we wish them well and thank them for their hard work and support over the past few years. Watch out for more information in the coming weeks in the surgery, on our website and leaflets on the Front Reception Desk. Thank you for your patience and recent suggestions on how the service.
Improved Access for patients
We are working towards improving access to appointments for our patients, in particular at evenings and weekends. If you would like to be offered one of these appointments, please speak to a member of the team. These appointments may be at a different site e.g. the Urgent Treatment Centre at Bournemouth Hospital.
IMPORTANT PATIENT NOTICE REGARDING SPECIMENS:
ALL SAMPLES MUST BE IN THE CORRECT SPECIMEN POTS. THE SPECIMEN POTS MUST BE LABELLED WITH THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION:
FULL NAME, DATE OF BIRTH, DATE AND TIME THE SAMPLE WAS PRODUCED.
PLEASE ONLY BRING IN A SAMPLE IF IT HAS BEEN REQUESTED BY A DOCTOR OR NURSE, SPECIMENS MUST BE HANDED IN BY 11.30AM

Measles not only affects the young it can affect older people. If you suspect you may have measles, you have a rash with a fever, please TELEPHONE the surgery first before arriving at the Reception Desk. Where possible if you need to be seen we will arrange an appointment at the end of the surgery to minimise other patient contact and we may direct you to a side room. Please book in via the RECEPTION DESK so these arrangements can be adhered to.
